Dr Saad Al-Khalaf
Dr Saad al-Khalaf General psychiatrist consultant with extensive experience, is based in Guildford. He also covers a portion of Hampshire and London. Dr. Jennifer Laidlaw
Jennifer Laidlaw earned her MD from the University of British Columbia before completing her residency in psychiatry. She was involved in medical education during her residency. She has presented and published papers at international conferences on topics like delirium screening social media and professionalism. She began her career at Surrey Memorial Hospital as the Head Consultation Liaison (CL) in the Psychiatry Department. Her main focus was developing a vibrant, highly collaborative CL service that provides the psychiatric treatment needed by patients in the medical and surgical units including the Palliative Care and oncology Units. She also received a Facilities Engagement grant to create guidelines for managing vulnerable patients in hospitals.
She is also the provincial practice Director for Psychiatry within BC Cancer, Clinical Associate professor at UBC and the Past-President of the BC Psychiatric Association. She is also an assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Tufts University School of Medicine and an adjunct faculty member in the UM PM&R and Family Medicine residency programs. She has an ongoing interest in research and education related to musculoskeletal disorders. She is currently teaching Neuromuscular and musculoskeletal medicine to the Family Medicine residents and has ongoing research projects in musculoskeletal education electrodiagnostic medicine, as well as performing arts medicine.
Dr. Pulkit Sing completed her medical degree from the University of New South Wales before completing her Psychiatry Residency at the University of British Columbia. While in training she was awarded the Psychotherapy Award and an Undergraduate Teaching Award to recognize her accomplishments in these areas. She has worked in many areas of Psychiatry and is particularly interested in Psycho-oncology, Addiction Psychiatry, Cardiac Psychiatry and General Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry.
Dr. Nadeesha is a psychiatrist who works with adults with BC Cancer. She has a special interest in psychooncology and loves working with older people. She has been interested for a long time in geriatric psychiatry and has served as an expert consultant at the Geriatric Psychiatry Consult Liaison Service (GPCLS) as well as the ECT Service at Vancouver General Hospital. She is also a tutor and mentor for medical residents and students.
Dr. Theresa Lo
Dr. Theresa Lo completed medical school and a psychiatry residency at the University of British Columbia. She has worked for the BC Cancer Agency and Surrey Mental Health. She has an extensive clinical practice that includes psychodynamic therapy and dialectical psychology. She is fluently able speak Cantonese.
Dr Karim is an active member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and was trained at Guy's King's St Thomas', St George's and St George's Hospitals in London. She is on the Specialist Register of the General Medical Council and has been practicing in psychiatry for more than 20 years. She is interested in child and adolescent psychiatry.Dr. Richford began her career as an RN, and then she studied medicine at Dalhousie. She received her MD in the year 1996. She has worked in many Psychiatry areas which include Addiction Psychiatry as well as Consultation Liaison Psychiatry Psycho-oncology, and more. She is currently a psychiatrist on staff at Providence Health Care, Vancouver General Hospital and BC Cancer - Vancouver, as also a Clinical Associate Professor at UBC. She was the former president of the British Columbia Psychiatric Association.
